Ph.D. in CS at HKU

Hi! I am Haoyang, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at TASR-Lab, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), supervised by Prof. Ka-Ho Chow and Prof. Siu-Ming Yiu. Prior to this, I earned my M.Sc. degree in CS from HKU while working as a Research Assistant in the same lab.

Before joining HKU, I was a visiting student at PR-Lab@NJU under the supervision of Prof. Yueming Lyu and Dr. Yi Liu. I obtained my B.Eng. degree at School of Cyber Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST) advised by Prof. Zhichao Lian and Dr. Shuangquan Zhang. In addition, I had a wonderful time at Tencent exploring AI governance, security, and privacy.

My research interests mainly focus on the security and privacy of trustworthy large models, including jailbreaking, poisoning, membership inference, data extraction, backdoor (…) attacks and developing effective defenses to secure LLM, RAG, Agent systems, etc.
